China's new generation of "artificial sun" has been built and discharged for the first time

On December 4, 2020, China's new-generation "man-made solar energy" device "China Gyre No. 2M (HL-2M)" was completed and discharged successfully for the first time in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. It marks that China has independently mastered the design, construction and operation technology of a large advanced tokamak device, laying a solid foundation for the independent design and construction of China's nuclear fusion reactor.
